President (2025 - 2027)
Robert Holloway, M.D. DFAACAP is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Anesthesiology at Keck USC School of Medicine, works at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in psychiatry and chronic pain management. He has always been drawn to populations that face significant hardship, including the LGBTQ+ population, homeless youth, and migrant communities. In addition to his professional roles, he volunteers advocating for legislative changes in how healthcare is provided both in California and nationally. Past leadership roles include President of Southern California Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and President of California Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
President Elect (2027 to 2029)
Alison Duncan, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She is the Medical Director of the Boston Medical Center Youth Community Behavioral Health Center and works primarily in pediatric consult-liaison, emergency psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry and psychiatric urgent care. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Transgender Health Coalition.

Shervin Shadianloo, M.D. DFAACAP is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra Northwell and a double Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist. He completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. He has served as member of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee member of AACAP for several years and is an advocate in LGBTQ youth mental health. He is the Immediate Past President of Pride CAPA and continues to support the organization’s mission to advance the mental health of LGBTQ+ youth through education, advocacy, and professional collaboration. Shervin is also a Distinguished Fellow of both the American Psychiatric Association and AACAP.
Treasurer (2025 - 2027)
Sam Hayes, M.D. works as a staff psychiatrist at Project Renewal with homeless individuals and moonlights at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in the child psychiatry emergency department. They are passionate about advocating for sexual and gender diverse individuals, speaking at both APA and AACAP on topics including overlapping LGBTQIA+ identities, asexuality, and kink. As an early career psychiatrist, Sam hopes to expand their career to find ways to deliver equitable and accessible gender/sexuality affirming that crosses socioeconomic strata. When they are not grounding people in distress, they are flying in the air on aerial silks and static trapeze.

Nicole Crozat, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at LSUHSC in New Orleans, LA and works at Manning Family Children’s Hospital on their Behavioral Health Unit. As an early career psychiatrist, her professional interests include teaching and mentorship, advocacy, inpatient behavioral health programming, and transitional age youth.

Ciara Styles, M.D. is a double board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist based in South Carolina. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Dr. Styles is a proud “Double Gator,” having earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2023 and remained there to complete her child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship in 2025. Dr. Styles has received numerous honors in recognition of her academic excellence and leadership, including selection as an American Psychiatric Association (APA) Diversity Leadership Fellow, participation in the University of Florida College of Medicine Medical Honors Program, and designation as a University of Florida John V. Lombardi Scholar.

Achyut Sompura, MD is a PGY-3 resident physician at Oklahoma’s largest state mental health facility. He is passionate about providing thoughtful, inclusive, and compassionate healthcare, particularly for historically marginalized communities. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cooking and engaging with the arts, interests that help him stay grounded, creative, and connected. He values spaces that celebrate authenticity, diversity, and community—both within healthcare and beyond.
